Hi all,
Among all the free license typefaces collected, I have selected the three
that I found best suited for the Fluid Engage logo: Titillium, M+1C and
Neighbourhood. The Secca was another option until I realise that it's not a
free license font but a demo font.
I would choose either the Titillium or Neighbourhood for de "engage" part of
the logo, both can make the engage word more recognizable as a brand, adding
some kind of personality to it and making it more distinguishable from other
projects logotypes . For the "fluid" side I think a different font than
Titillium or Neighbourhood will be more appropriate: the "Fluid" logo have
to be placed next to different logotypes (infusion, engage, and others) so a
more neutral typeface, like the M+1C, will make the "fluid" logo more
compatible with all the other different logotypes.
In the attached png (*Typeface logo options.png*) I think the two
combinations in the second row will be the best choices.
I've attached another png (*Engage colour options.png*) to show possible
colour proposals (It's likely that that the colours will look a bit
different on every screen). These are main colour options, that should be
adjusted after picking one them. They all (almost) have in common that are
saturated and bright, which convey more lively feelings, something related
to the Fluid Engage project idea of making the visitor experience more
enjoyable.
The chosen colour should be a different one from that used in other projects
Fluid logotypes, my option would be something around B-2 or maybe C-3.
For "fluid", following the same idea as that of selecting the font, I played
with more neutral colours, less saturated, which are variations of current
Fluid logotype colours (green / purple) in order to get something that looks
familiar to the current logo, and not completely different. Anyway, I find
that a black (or dark grey) option for "fluid" could be a better solution
when it has to be placed beside other logos (Fluid projects) that have
bright colours.
That's all for now!
Best,
Jorge.
