Changes to group chat and mailing list

Hi Everyone,

As I mentioned earlier this summer there are some changes coming to the group chat and this mailing list.

Group Chat

We are in the process of migrating off of Matrix/Element and moving group chat over to Zulip. Please sign up for an account on Zulip as the Matrix rooms will be made read-only or removed in the near future. You can sign up for the new Zulip rooms using this link https://fluid-project.zulipchat.com/join/zip3p3yooemyis466tzjd6h7/

Mailing List

The mailman mailing list will be shutdown by October 11, 2025. We plan to retain a copy of the archive; however we do not currently have a plan to setup a new mailing list. Communication can instead happen in the Zulip channels as mentioned above. If there is a need for a mailing list or similar thing, we could look into groups.io <http://groups.io/> or using GitHub discussions <https://docs.github.com/en/discussions>.
