Faster static site for viewing JIRA issues

For those that have been in the community for a while, you have probably used or visited the JIRA issue tracker. Originally this had been self hosted, but last year Atlassian ended support for the self hosted version and we migrated to their Cloud offering. The cloud version didn?t support custom domains, so if you?ve visited recently you?ve probably been redirected to https://fluidproject.atlassian.net <https://fluidproject.atlassian.net/>.

However, we?ve found that the cloud version of JIRA is less performant that the old self hosted version. Additionally we?ve been moving more of our issue tracking to GitHub issues, where they reside along side the code. In fact I?m currently working on migrating the Infusion issues to GitHub (although this isn?t ready yet).

As we?ve been looking into these issues we decided to build a static site version of the JIRA issues (https://issues.fluidproject.org now points to this). All of the issues in JIRA are reflected here and are organized by project. The relevant details have been captured including comments and attachments, and a link back to the JIRA instance is provided as well. The static site even has a search capabilities, and old URLs to specific issues should still work.

Try: https://issues.fluidproject.org/browse/FLUID-6786/

The codebase for the static site is at https://github.com/fluid-project/issues.fluidproject.org. We plan to pull in the latest updates from the JIRA instance as needed.

Thanks
Justin
