Subject: Community Design Crit - March 21, 2017

Hi everyone.

For tomorrow's March 21 design crit we will be having a discussion about co-design and bridging the "gaps" with more formalized research and design.

Some questions come to mind when dealing with co-design:

  *   What is co-design even?
  * What are the differences between the approaches?
  * Is one the substitute for the other?
  * Is co-design as "rigourous" as formal research?
  * What are the best practices for communicating the results / artifacts from co-design?

The intention for this crit is to help explore the spaces we find co-design, and to better understand how co-design fits in the landscape of other traditional research and design methods.

The meeting will be from 10:00am to 11:30am ET and will be hosted in the Collaboration room at 205 Richmond Street West (IDRC offices) in Toronto, and online in the Fluid-Standup Vidyo room.

To join the conversation online, please download and install the Vidyo app<https://conf.inclusivedesign.ca/> on your computer or portable device first. Then join the Vidyo conference in the fluid_standup<https://conf.inclusivedesign.ca/flex.html?roomdirect.html&key=xemU59x8DtnO41eCMtCpCioWaRI><https://conf.inclusivedesign.ca/flex.html?roomdirect.html&key=xemU59x8DtnO41eCMtCpCioWaRI> room.
