Proposal for small change to Fluid and Floe logos

Good question Dana. I guess this started out by my question of what people thought about removing it. For me the reasons would be the following:
Be more consistent with the treatment of our other logos
We could easily use plain text to create the logo (which would allow for transformations and etc, as well as make it easier to use).
Also I'm honestly not sure what the "*" is supposed to mean. I may have just forgotten.
I don't think we should make the change without discussing it first, so I'm glad you brought up the question.
Thanks
Justin

And how it doesn’t have the ascender protruding for the top of the character, right? What does having the stroke (sorry for the sloppy type descriptions, I’ve got a lot on my mind today) provide a reader? Does it help with dyslexia specifically? And by using open dyslexic you could potentially address this issue as well as address others, at the same time? Seems more than reasonable to me.

I can imagine this font being an ‘option’ in a preference within GPII, but for a logo it might be impractical to choose a font that accommodates a particular population. Our approach has been to find something that is universally understandable and readable or recognizable — these seem the goals for a logo.
