Hi everyone,
Anastasia and I have implemented the drop warning for mouse drag and
drop. You can see this here:
http://build.fluidproject.org/sakai-imagegallery-tool/sample-code/reorderer/portal/portalWithAvatarClone.html
We still need to implement leaving the drop marker in the last valid
position while still showing the drop warning. So in the previous
sample file, if you pick up the 'calendar portlet' and hover over the
'lightbox portlet' you will see a drop marker appear. If you then drag
up to the top portion of the 'welcome portlet' the drop marker
disappears and the drop warning appears. It's my understanding that
the drop marker should remain in place and letting go of the avatar
would drop the calendar below the welcome portlet. Is this correct?
We also need to implement the drop warning for the keyboard
interaction. Just to clarify my previous question, when I'm moving a
portlet with the keyboard what happens when I reach an end point? My
understanding was that if I reach the top of a column and press 'ctrl
+ up-arrow' I would see the drop warning message. Is this not correct?
Should the drop warning only appear when I try to move past a locked
portlet?
Thanks,
Michelle
