Oracle, Fluid, and Sakai UX

As I understand it, we've run into some of the usual hurdles that big
companies like Oracle face around sharing intellectual property. Again,
I'll leave it to George to assess whether these hurdles are ultimately
surmountable, but I can promise that doing so will take a fair bit of
time if it is possible at all. It may be that a steering committee would
provide more of an umbrella under which Oracle could get sign-off to
contribute design patterns. Or not. I certainly don't claim to have any
great insight into our channels for releasing IP, other than knowing
that they tend to move slowly. Regardless, I want to make sure that we
are identifying areas where we can collaborate now in parallel with any
discussions about what Oracle may be able to contribute in the longer term.
