Dear Fluid, I am Jess.

Welcome Jess!
Here is a perfect example of why Jess is a critically important
addition to the Fluid Team. I had prepared a welcoming, introductory
email for this list but was distracted by an overwhelming number of
crisis and deadlines that it sat in my outbox waiting for some
remaining facts I wanted to add.

Thank you Jess for introducing yourself :-)

Here is my belated introduction:

I am elated and excited to introduce Fluid's Project Manager, Jess
Mitchell. Jess comes with an incredibly rich and relevant background
in managing large complex distributed projects. She is very familiar
with the academic environment, the schools engaged in Fluid and the
open source and community source development process. Until recently
Jess was the Innovative Projects Manager at Duke University and
managed among many innovative projects the Duke Digital Initiative.

Jess's home of operations will be Boston but she will be visiting the
Fluid partners on a regular basis beginning with a one week visit to
Toronto on March 12th.

One of Jess's first tasks is to look at how we communicate in the
community and to the outside world through our Website and other
mechanisms.

She will be working very closely with Colin to transition many of the
additional responsibilities he has so ably taken on over the past
year.

I can't exaggerate how happy I am to have Jess on board.

Jutta
