Assignment ID and standards

One of the key requirements I have seen working with publishers is the 
desire to launch assignments directly from the assignments tool.  They 
also want to track the status of student completion (past due, past due 
but still take-able, in progress, partially complete, submitted, 
re-submitted, etc.).
