Hi everyone,
I had hoped to schedule a design team meeting today to talk about our
updated release plan. Allison and I are here in Vancouver at a Kuali
Student planning meeting, and are having a really productive discussion
about collaboration with Fluid. Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'll
be able to slip out of the meetings long enough for the design meeting.
In the meantime, we've got a busy schedule for the rest of December.
Here are our main priorities for the month:
* Planning our distributed contextual inquiry wave in January
* Based on current user research plan, identify unique uPortal needs
* Assess coverage and summarize UX Walkthrough work to date
* Launch the Open Source Design Patterns Library CMS (Drupal-based)
* uPortal portlet layout manager designs
I'll be on vacation for the rest of the week, but I'd like to schedule a
meeting with the design team for early next week. We'll go over the
revisions to the release plan and organize our next wave of work.
I'd also like to schedule a small meeting to discuss user research
techniques in a distributed community. Clayton, we'd love your advice on
this topic; are you available next week at all?
Colin
