Fluid and free form portfolio

Hi Sean,
This is great -- it means we are identifying cross-cutting components.
I believe you are referring to some of the component ideas presented
within the Image Gallery (IG) last week. At Berkeley we will be
discussing and updating our project plan for IG based on discussions
at the conference. I can see several ways for you and others in OSP
to get involved. Once the components are developed they will of
course be available to the community. But as you say, perhaps
there's more. It would be great to have other eyes on the IG design
and components as we continue to evolve them. As mentioned at the
conference, the idea is to design and develop within this specific
context and also be thinking about how the components need to be
abstracted for more wider use -- what's common across uses, where do
we need configurability and flexibility and the such. Interested in
being part of a design review team? If there are development
resources available, I'm sure there's a way to get folks involved in
the component development work too.
If you have the time, you may want to join our Fluid design team
meetings to stay abreast of the various other work that is moving
along like design patterns and how they relate to the components. We
are trying to coordinate a design planning meeting early this week
which should include scheduling regular standing meetings moving
forward. You are welcome to join us this week and/or start attending
the regular meetings. Keep your eyes on the list for more information.
